Fishbowl Night

Party game · 2 teams · 4 rounds · one bowl

Fishbowl
Night

Everyone writes their slips on their own phone and drops a code in the group chat. The host builds the bowl, then the phone goes round the room.

How to play

Same bowl, four times, harder every round.

Everybody writes a handful of words or phrases. They all go in one bowl. Split into two teams. Each turn, one person pulls slips and gets their team to shout the answer before the timer runs out — one point per slip.

When the bowl empties, the round ends and every slip goes back in. Same words, new restriction. By round three you all know the words, and that's the joke.

House rules: a skipped slip goes back in the bowl and scores nothing. No saying the word, part of the word, or a rhyme of it. Whoever's holding the phone is the only one who should look at it.

Step 1 of 2 · your slips

Write your words.

People, places, things, phrases, in-jokes. Nothing so obscure that only you know it — and don't show anyone.

Step 2 of 2 · send it

Drop this in the chat.

Send the whole code to your group. It's just your words, scrambled — nobody reading the chat will spot them.

If Copy doesn't take, press and hold the code above and choose Copy.

Host · step 1 of 3

Fill the bowl.

Copy the messages out of your group chat and paste them here — all of them at once is fine. I'll pull out the codes and ignore everything else.

In the bowl · 0 slips

Nothing yet. Paste some codes, or add slips by hand below.

Host · step 2 of 3

Pick sides.

Tap a name to move them between teams. Anyone who sent a code is already here.
